How I went from having four concert tickets to zero. Then four more.

It’s a long, bizarre story, but I accidentally bought four tickets to a Lumineers concert AT WRIGLEY FIELD when I only wanted two.

When I purchased the tickets, I actually didn’t have anyone to go with me. I just knew I wanted to go, and the concert was selling out quickly, so I bought those suckers. I am glad I did. The prices inflated daily. Supply and demand, you know? |

I had just started dating Brad and said, “Hey, if we are still together in September, do you want to go to Chicago with me?” He *HATED* when I prefaced every statement with “If we are still together.” What can I say? I was just waiting for the other shoe to fall.

I was bummed I wasted $59/ticket on the two additional tickets, so I tried to sell them.

It’s ANOTHER long-ass story, but I ended up losing ALL FOUR. I did not profit off them. I lost $280 as a result of not entering barcodes in the very tight deadline StubHub permits, despite not getting a notification.

I cried. A lot.

I sent Brad a voice message and said, “Hey, how do you feel about me just buying more tickets off StubHub for double the amount of our original tickets because the official event is SOLD OUT, and I will just accept the lost?”

He quickly responded and said he already bought replacement tickets. In a better section.

I was on the phone half the day with customer service. My first call, I started with “I am extremely emotional right now. I am also socially awkward and suffer from anxiety. If I cry, it has nothing to do with you. I am upset with myself and StubHub, NOT you.”

Allegedly, they are reissuing two of my tickets tomorrow morning, but I don’t need them anymore, because (of course), Brad bought the replacement tickets in a better section. If anyone wants to go to this concert for free, hit me up!
